After a lovely lunch in Naples we journeyed to Herculaneum - a

city buried in time by the eruption of 79 AD.

Naples Museum

This morning we drove around the beautiful Bay of Naples and headed to Naples museum to see mosaics, paintings and treasures uncovered at Pompeii and Herculaneum.

We wandered in Sorrento this evening ....

.... and found the BEST ice cream!

Exploring Pompeii...

We spent the afternoon exploring Pompeii... the forum, the baths the stepping stones, the theatre, the palaestra, the amphitheatre and... the house of Caecilius!

We had earned our delicious al fresco lunch!
